Funding

Initial seed funding in June 2007 for the establishment of the National Institute of Complementary Medicine (now known as NICM Health Research Institute) included $4 million from the Australian Government and $600,000 from the NSW State Government. The Western Sydney University Institute is located at the Westmead campus and is currently funded by the University, industry partners, philanthropy, and research grants and contracts.

NICM Health Research Institute is particularly grateful for the generous philanthropic and sponsor support that it receives for its operations from the Blackmore Foundation, Blackmores Institute (opens in a new window) and the Jacka Foundation of Natural Therapies. (opens in a new window)
