As the year draws to a close, we would like to take the opportunity to thank our colleagues and stakeholders who have worked with us towards our vision. Next year marks a historical occasion for NICM, celebrating its 10 year anniversary and a year of further growth and development for the Institute. We will continue to advance the evidence base for integrative medicine, help build research capacity, foster novel and innovative research and attract further investment in integrative medicine research. Our efforts will be supported by the exciting and timely regulatory reforms to complementary medicines proposed by Government.
At the end of November, at our annual NICM caucus meeting we welcomed additional advisory board members, research committee members, and adjuncts to the NICM team who will play an active role in implementing our strategic plan and further research development across preclinical, clinical and translational and policy areas of focus.
We welcome the recent news of the international research collaboration between the University of Adelaide, the Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in establishing the Global Institute of Traditional Medicine.
On behalf of the NICM team, we wish you all the very best for a safe and peaceful holiday break and the New Year ahead. NICM will be closed from 5pm today, Wednesday 21 December 2016 and will open for business on Wednesday 4 January 2017, when normal business hours will resume.
I hope you enjoy our summer newsletter and the holiday break.
