Electroacupuncture for improving erectile dysfunction after robotic assisted radical prostatectomy: A randomised controlled trial and feasibility study


Prostate Cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed men’s cancer worldwide. Currently robotic radical prostatectomy offers high rates of cancer cure however this long living population can face extremely challenging quality of life issues as a result of surgery.

Emma’s research aims to investigate whether electroacupuncture can improve erectile function after radical prostatectomy by conducting a multi site randomised controlled clinical trial. Emma also aims to identify the quality of life issues that these men face in their post operative recovery.
