Jacka Foundation Postdoctoral Research Officer, NICM Health Research Institute


Dr Templeman joined NICM in 2016 working on the Integrative Oncology Partnership Program, and was appointed in 2017 as the Jacka Foundation Postdoctoral Research Officer. As an early career academic and health services researchers, her current role assists in the development of clinical services, education, translation, and research capacity arms of this program.

Dr Templeman has over 15 years' experience and expertise involving the interface and integration of conventional and complementary medicine in primary care, integrative model and health service development, and health policy. Following her doctorate at Monash University, Dr Templeman has a strong foundation in health professions education and curricula development, in particular, medical specialties. Her PhD was the first in Australia to investigate integration of complementary medicine in undergraduate medical education, of which her work was supported by Monash Gippsland Medical School, and continues to inform the Australian landscape in this space.
