Congratulations and welcome to our two new Higher Degree Research candidates and recipients of the NICM HRI and BIackmores Institute Scholarship, Emma Wong and NICM HRI and Jacka Foundation Natural Therapies Scholarship, Alison Maunder.
Emma’s PhD project will explore the clinical application of electro acupuncture for improving erectile dysfunction after robot assisted radical prostatectomy, where the prostate is partially or completely removed in men with prostate cancer or noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. Her project will be supervised by Dr Suzanne Grant.
Alison’s PhD project will examine the role of naturopathy in the management of women with diminished ovarian reserve, which is the loss of normal reproductive potential in the ovaries due to a lower count or quality of the remaining eggs. Her project will be supervised by Dr Carolyn Ee.
