The film features scientists, spiritual leaders and yoga teachers discussing yoga as both a science and an art, and how modern scientific research is now documenting the ancient science of yoga.
11 June 2016 A new study, entitled Complementary medicine use by the Australian population: a critical mixed studies systematic review of utilisation, perceptions and factors associated with use determined there is increasing evidence that complementary medicine (CM) services are being used by a substantial proportion of the Australian population.

The plan identifies the Centre’s strategic direction in complementary and integrative health research, including its current top scientific priorities for future research.
3 June 2016 Congratulations to Judy Jacka and NICM Adjunct Fellow, Michael Smith for their recent honorary titles awarded for the recognition of service. At the April graduation ceremony, Judy was made an Honorary Fellow of the Western Sydney University, in recognition of her distinguished service in the fields of natural therapies and complementary medicine.

16 May 2016 The EPIC Research Group from the School of Science and Health at Western Sydney University were successful in being awarded a Research Partnership grant for a mixed-methods project: “Increasing breast screening participation among obese women and women with type 2 diabetes in Western Sydney.”
4 May 2016 Presenting at the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) National Institute for Dementia Research (NNIDR) Australian Dementia Forum in May, NICM’s Dr Genevieve Steiner took out the best presenter award for her oral presentation, which focused on her fellowship project.
