Prostate cancer (PCa) has a wide range of manifestations from asymptomatic to widespread metastasis. Active surveillance rather than immediate aggressive treatment has emerged as a viable option for men with early stage, localised, and low risk PCa. However, up to 35 per cent of these men will exhibit progression of PCa within four years.

Earlier in March, the School of Chinese Medicine of Hong Kong Baptist University hosted the "International Forum on the Development of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital" that brought together international experts to share their insights about integrating Chinese and Western medicine.

A team of NICM researchers and collaborators were commissioned by the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) to produce the new Nomenclature Compendium for commonly used Chinese Herbal Medicine. The compendium is now available on the CMBA website as a listed resource to the New Guidelines for safe Chinese herbal medicine practice.
